GYRO BLASTER

Privacy Policy

Our Approach

Gyro Blaster is a free game supported by advertising. We display a small banner ad at the bottom of the screen during gameplay via the Google AdMob SDK. The game itself — our own code — does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There are no in-app purchases, no account system, and no server backend. All sensor input (gyroscope/accelerometer) is processed entirely on-device for gameplay control and never leaves the device.

Data Collected by AdMob

The Google AdMob SDK (embedded in the app as GoogleMobileAds.xcframework) may collect the following data for personalized advertising and analytics:

  • Device ID (IDFA / Advertising Identifier)
  • Coarse location (city-level, not precise GPS)
  • Advertising data (ad interaction metrics)
  • Product interaction data
  • Crash data and performance diagnostics

This data is processed by Google according to their Privacy Policy. Google may use this data for cross-app ad targeting on Apple's advertising attribution network. For more details on how Google handles your data, see Google's Advertising Policy.

Tracking & Consent

On iOS, the AdMob SDK accesses the device's advertising identifier (IDFA) for cross-app tracking. You will see Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt when you first launch Gyro Blaster. You can choose "Ask App Not to Track" — if you decline, the game works exactly the same, and non-personalized ads will be shown instead.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK presents a consent form before any ad data collection begins, in compliance with GDPR and ePrivacy Directive requirements.

What This App Does Not Do

  • No user accounts or registration
  • No collection of email addresses, names, or contact information
  • No in-app purchases
  • No location tracking (beyond AdMob's coarse location for ad targeting)
  • No internet connection required — the game plays offline (ads simply won't load)

Data Stored on Device

Your high score and settings preferences are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

Opting Out of Personalized Ads

Beyond the ATT prompt at first launch, you can further control ad tracking:

  • On iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > Allow Apps to Request to Track (toggle off per-app)
  • Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising > Personalized Ads (toggle off)
  • Reset your advertising identifier: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > Reset Advertising Identifier

Children's Privacy

Gyro Blaster is rated 12+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The AdMob SDK is configured to serve general-audience ads with no child-directed content tagging. The app contains no external links, no chat features, and no user-generated content.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted here. Significant changes to ad practices will be communicated through an in-app notice or a version update note in the App Store.
